Three arrests after man injured in shooting
GooglePolice investigating a shooting which left a man injured have made two further arrests.
South Yorkshire Police said two days after the incident on 19 December on Goldsmith Drive, in Herringthorpe, Rotherham, a man who attended hospital with gunshot injuries was arrested on suspicion of firearm and drug offences.
On Sunday, another man, aged 18, was arrested on suspicion of firearm offences, while a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms with intent to endanger life on Wednesday.
South Yorkshire Police's Det Insp Claire Moss said: "Gun crime is not tolerated anywhere in South Yorkshire and we're doing everything we can to bring a stop to it."
The injured man has since been discharged from hospital and bailed pending further inquiries, alongside the 27-year-old man, police said.
The 18-year-old man was remanded on conditional bail in connection with other alleged offences.
Moss, from the Armed Crime Team, said: "While these arrests are a significant update in our investigation into this firearms discharge, we are still appealing for any information from you - our local communities.
"The intelligence you provide is vital in helping us bring those involved in gun crime to justice.
"It could seem like a minor detail or something suspicious you've spotted in the Goldsmith Drive area - whatever it is, please tell us. You will never be wasting our time."
