Aurigny plane hit by vehicle at airport
BBCAn Aurigny plane has been hit by a vehicle while on a stand at Guernsey Airport.
Aurigny confirmed nobody was hurt and no passengers were on board at the time.
The aircraft has been removed from service and will now undergo a full inspection, Aurigny said.
In the meantime the airline said it had deployed its "standby aircraft" meaning there would be "minimal delays".
The Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) said it had been informed about the incident but would not be investigating.
Officials at Guernsey Airport said there was no subsequent disruption at the site, and confirmed it was an Aurigny vehicle which collided with the aircraft.
In a statement, the States-owned airline said it was "too early to speculate on the cause of the incident" and an internal investigation was underway.
It added the company's "highest priority" was safety and it was working with the relevant authorities.
