Man taken to hospital after bacon factory incident
BBC/ Seb CheerA man has been taken to hospital after reports of a workplace accident at a bacon factory, police have said.
Emergency services were called to the Sofina factory on Westfield Way in the Norton area of Malton at about 08:30 GMT.
North Yorkshire Police officers attended, along with fire, ambulance and air ambulance crews.
A force spokesperson confirmed the Health and Safety Executive had been notified of the incident.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "A number of ambulance resources were dispatched to the scene, including two ambulances and the air ambulance.
"One patient was conveyed by road to hospital."
