What have been the big stories in the West this week?

On Monday, dozens of people attended a protest at Bristol's Cascade Steps against United States military action in Venezuela, Bristol Live and Bristol 24/7 reported.

"Out of place" palm trees covered in fairy lights have become the centre of a planning row on "England's prettiest street", Gloucestershire Live reported. Rosemary Cottage, in Awkward Hill, is at the centre of a row as residents complained of years of "disruptive construction" works.

Photographers gathered to take pictures of the Wolf Supermoon across the West last weekend. Somerset Live shared a images of the moon over Glastonbury Tor.

A tribute to artist Ken White has appeared in Swindon, the Swindon Advertiser reports. White, who dedicated his life to pursuing his passion for painting, died on Christmas Eve, aged 82.
