Cannabis worth £2m found in suburban house
West Yorkshire PoliceCannabis with an estimated street value of more than £2m has been seized at a house in Leeds, along with more than £30,000 in cash and 10 high-value vehicles, police said.
A total of 209 vacuum-packed bags of dried cannabis were found at an address on Falkland Court in Moortown by police officers working with immigration enforcement.
West Yorkshire Police said a 32-year-old man was arrested and has now been charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply, possession of criminal property and possession of a false identity document.
He appeared before Leeds Magistrates' Court where he was remanded in custody, and is due to appear before Leeds Crown Court on 9 April.
Officers from Leeds North West Neighbourhood Policing Team visited the address, along with North Yorkshire Police.
The man was initially arrested on suspicion of fraudulent document offences before the property was searched and the cannabis was found.
