A village post office is going to move into a nearby supermarket.

The Post Office said the Codsall branch in Staffordshire, near Wolverhampton, would continue to offer the same services, with the same working hours, but would operate from the Midcounties Coop in future.

A date for the move has not been announced but the Post Office spokesperson said the new location was 180m (590 ft) from the current site.

They added that the switch had come about because the office's manager had "identified an opportunity to move this branch into an alternative new location to continue to offer Post Office services".

They promised the new counters in the Coop would be in a "dedicated area of the store with three screened counter positions".
