Funding offered to host inclusive arts projects
Warwick Green PartyOrganisations and individuals in Warwick have been urged to apply for funding grants to develop inclusive arts projects in the area.
The Arts Project Grants programme, run by Warwick District Council, has two rounds of funding in the winter and summer that not-for-profit schemes can apply for.
Anjali Dance Company, which previously benefited from the grant, used it to launch Holly's Project, a performance led by a disabled dancer and delivered at libraries and workshops across the town.
The grant also supported Daniel's Rise, a series of mosaic workshops led by Helping Hands Community Project, which provides a safe daytime space for vulnerable men.
The council said it had a positive impact on the participants' confidence and wellbeing, while their work was showcased at Art in the Park.
Councillor Ella Billiald, Warwick District Council's Portfolio Holder for Culture, Arts and Economy, said: "This wonderful programme has created opportunities for those who are vulnerable and sometimes overlooked, to shine, opening many doors."
