A man has been arrested after reports of four sex assaults against women in Leeds, police said

A man has been arrested following reports of four sexual assaults on women in the Harehills and Gipton areas of Leeds.

The first incident took place at about 17:30 GMT on Berkley Road in Harehills on 17 November. Two further assaults took place on 8 December on Hill Top Mount in Harehills at 11:35 and on Amberton Road in Gipton at 13:00, West Yorkshire Police said.

Officers said the fourth attack was reported at 11:40 on 22 December, when a woman was approached from behind and assaulted on Back Hill Top Avenue in Harehills.

A force spokesperson said the 29-year-old man from Leeds was in custody and thanked members of the public who responded to an appeal for information.
