Police appeal to find stolen pygmy goat
Leicestershire and Rutland Rural Policing TeamPolice have launched an appeal for information after a pygmy goat was stolen from an enclosure in Leicestershire.
Leicestershire and Rutland Rural Policing Team said the goat was taken from a small holding in the Cropston area overnight on Monday.
It had been kept in a secure enclosure with its family, including its twin - which police said was now "repeatedly bleating for its missing sibling".
The theft has also caused "significant distress" to the animal's owner, the force added.
Making a direct appeal to the person or people responsible on Facebook, officers urged: "Do the right thing.
"Make yourself known to us or return the goat safely to its home."
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or who has been offered a goat for sale unexpectedly has also been asked to contact police.
