An accident near the Babraham Research Campus roundabout has caused delays

A head-on collision between a truck and another vehicle has closed part of a major A-road, police have said.

The Cambridgeshire force confirmed it was called to the A1307 between Babraham village and Babraham Research Campus at 05:25 GMT.

A spokesperson said: "The westbound carriageway has been left completely blocked and will be closed until the end of the morning as a result.

"Officers and paramedics are currently at the scene and motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes."

Stagecoach, which runs bus services in the area, said the 13, 13A and X13 routes would be delayed.

The eastbound carriageway is currently unaffected.
