A quad bike has been seized by police after "numerous calls" that it was causing distress to people using a park near Keighley.

Police officers warned against the use of quad bikes, which cause a nuisance to residents.

The red Quadzilla bike was abandoned by its rider when police approached the vehicle which was then seized by officers.

Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team said it had received numerous calls about the bike over the last few days causing damage to the grass and distressing people nearby.

A police spokesperson said: "Having received numerous calls about this quad over the last few days, we were keen to finally meet the beast, and it wasn't long before we were face to face with Quadzilla.

"However to our surprise, a quick sprint towards the monster was all it took for the rider to abandon it and run into the sunset. The quad has now been seized by police."
