Lines reopen after major rail disruption
Transport FocusLines have reopened following major rail disruption between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton due to a fatal incident.
National Rail said emergency services were dealing with an incident on Thursday morning, and all lines were closed while they carried out work.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called to Station Drive, Tipton - near Dudley Port railway station - at 06:15 GMT where they found a patient who was confirmed dead at the scene.
Lines reopened at 08:22 GMT, National Rail said, but it added that trains between these stations may continue to be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised whilst normal service recovered.
Passengers will be able to use their tickets on West Midlands Metro services between Grand Central and Wolverhampton, and West Midlands Railway services between Wolverhampton and Stafford, at no extra cost.
For Avanti West Coast customers, services may be diverted via Bescot Stadium and will not call at Sandwell & Dudley.
