Two more men appear in court charged with murder after teen death in crash

Two more men have been charged with murder after the death of 18-year-old Ceiran Evans following a crash.

The teenager died in a collision between a car and an off-road bike on Pen Cae Crwn Road in Gorseinon, Swansea, on 9 July.

Elliot Truelove, 33, from West Cross, Swansea, and Liam Thomas, 18, from Morriston, Swansea, appeared at Swansea Magistrates' Court both charged with murder and attempted murder.

Tyler Ford, 18, appeared in court last month facing the same charges.

On Wednesday Truelove and Thomas spoke in court only to confirm their names, dates of birth and addresses and were remanded in custody.

They are due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on Thursday.

Det Ch Insp Danielle Thorne, from South Wales Police, said on Tuesday when the pair were charged that it had been a "complex investigation" and an "incredibly traumatic" incident for Evans' family and the wider community.

"These additional charges are another significant update as we seek to understand the circumstances which led to Ceiran's death," she said.

Evans' family said he had a "kind heart, wicked sense of humour" and a "loving nature" in a tribute following his death.
