A police investigation was launched following an incident outside a mosque on Brearley Place, Batley

A man suffered multiple leg fractures after an alleged road rage incident, police said.

West Yorkshire Police said a minor collision involving two cars took place outside the mosque in Brearley Place, Batley, shortly before 19:00 GMT on Friday.

Officers said when the victim went to exchange details, the driver of the other vehicle, thought to have possibly been a black Kia, attacked him and drove away.

The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment, police said. Officers are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or witnesses to come forward.
