Six arrests in city murder investigation
Joe Weir/BBCA murder investigation is under way after a 46-year-old man died in Lincoln, police said.
Lincolnshire Police said he was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head and body on Friday evening, and died on Sunday evening.
Officers said they were focusing their investigations on Frank Swaby Court, where they believe an assault took place between 12:00 BST and 16:00 BST on Friday.
Four people - three men, aged 31, 32, and 33, and a 28-year-old woman - were arrested on Friday. A man, 36, and a woman, 32, were arrested on Sunday.
All six people remain in custody, the force said.
Police said they believe the people they are questioning and the victim were known to each other.
Appealing directly to the public for help, Det Insp Andy McWatt, leading the investigation, said: "We’re asking you to come forward with anything at all you think might help.
"We would rather you come to us with information you are unsure of than risk not mentioning it, no matter how small you think it might be.
"The smallest piece of information can make a big difference in an investigation, as we’d rather have information and not need it, than miss a key detail.”
