Boy, 16, seriously hurt in e-bike crash

A 16-year-old boy riding an electric bike suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing into a fence in Cleethorpes, police have said.

Humberside Police said the incident happened on Tuesday between 19.15 and 20:00 GMT while the rider was on a path close to the Boating Lake car park, off Kings Road.

The teenager was being treated in hospital, a spokesperson added.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage, to get in touch via the 101 non-emergency number.
