Repair work is being carried out at a GP surgery after a car crashed into the front of it.

The incident happened at Avon Valley Practice's GP surgery in Upavon, Wiltshire, on Thursday.

A spokesperson for the clinic said the site remained open but access to the building had been changed, with patients advised to use the side entrance. People who require step-free or wheelchair access were advised to contact the surgery as their appointment may be moved to Durrington.

"We wish to reassure all patients that the individual involved was assessed and, thankfully, was not injured. The building has been inspected and is safe to use," they added.
