Islanders can apply for cost of living payment

The Government of Jersey has announced its annual payment to help households with the cost of living pressures.

It said the Community Cost Bonus for 2024 was £516.50.

The government said islanders could only apply if one adult had lived in Jersey for at least five years, their combined tax liability was less than £2,735 in 2023, and the household was not receiving income support.

It added the application may take up to four weeks to be processed and islanders who qualified could apply until 30 June 2025.
