A teenager who was stabbed to death in west London has been named by the police as 18-year-old Maliki Sharma.

Emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing on Victoria Road in Feltham at about 17:00 GMT on Monday, the Metropolitan Police said.

Sharma, who was from Feltham, was found with multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon. After consulting with the Crown Prosecution Service, they have been released on bail pending further enquiries, the force added.

The Met said it was continuing to investigate and that locals may notice an increased police presence in the area in the coming days.

It added officers would be available to listen to "any concerns from the community".
