Supercar superfans were spotted in the Cotswolds this week as they took over Bourton-on-the-Water with their Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, and Bugattis on Sunday.

Elsewhere, a popular woodland cycle trail reopened and a woman's kind-heartedness went mega-viral.

New life: Spring was in the air at Gloucester Cathedral this week as the programme for services during Holy Week and Easter was published.

Like a machine: This army veteran is training for Gloucester Half Marathon - but his regime is much different to that of your average runner. Giles Tennick is picking up the baton from his late army friend, Martin Realey, who died last year but used to run a half marathon with the very same 28kg washing machine on his back. Tennick is raising money for Support for Sick Newborns and their Parents - or Ssnap - based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

"Best-kept secret": Some of the 2,500 different types of trees and shrubs at Westonbirt Arboretum are starting to bloom with vibrant spring colours. Staff said it is "every bit as breathtaking as autumn.

Kind comments: Barbara Clapp, from Stroud, has stolen the nation's heart after she was stopped on the street in Bath and was filmed being asked by staff from the Boston Tea Party "how she could make someone's day better".

The resulting video has had more than ten million views on social media and Barbara, and her daughter, Oly Clapp, said they had been "touched" by the responses.

Epic comeback: The University of Bath men's first XV secured a 40-31 win against Loughborough in front of a boisterous home crowd this week. The win means Bath could secure their first-ever BUCS Super Rugby league title with victory at fourth-placed Durham on 11 March.

Home-grown talent: Mendip Activity Centre said it was "proud" to celebrate its connection to paralympian Hester Poole, whose ski journey began aged seven on Mendip's dry ski slope in North Somerset. Now just 18, she trains with the GB Snowsport Para Alpine World Cup squad, guided by her long-term ski partner, Ali Hall.

Inspiration: A blind veteran from Trowbridge will run the 2026 London Marathon to demonstrate the amazing achievements possible after sight loss and to raise money for Blind Veterans UK. Kelly Ganfield, 44, recently received some inspiration from Arsenal Women's Alessio Russo and former player, now coach, Kelly Smith on a visit to the Emirates.
