Welsh Water said it expected to restore supplies by early evening

A "number of properties" in Herefordshire have been left without water after a water main suffered damage from a "third party".

Welsh Water said the damage had affected homes on Holme Lacy Road in Hereford but that its crews were working to restore the supply and "keep disruption to a minimum".

A spokesperson for the company said bottled water would be delivered to vulnerable customers, adding that supplies were expected to be restored by "early evening" on Tuesday.

They added that plans had been made to "carry out a full repair to the damaged pipe".
