The moment a stolen spaniel was handed back to her family after two months has been captured by Dorset Police.

Honey, from Kent, was found by the force's rural crime officers about 160 miles (257km) away at a premises in west Dorset on Monday.

Wagging her tail frantically, officers said there was "not a dry eye in sight" as the brown and white spaniel was reunited with her family.

A local man in his 30s has been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of taking or detaining a dog, as well as firearms offences after a number of items were seized.
