Man dies after crash on A-road

A man in his 50s has died after a car crash, police have confirmed.

Avon and Somerset Police said the man died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash near Moorlinch, Bridgwater, in Somerset.

The crash happened shortly before 04:30 GMT and the man's family have been informed of his death, police said.

The A39 was closed during initial investigations and Avon and Somerset Police asked anyone with relevant dashcam footage of a red Ford Fiesta to get in touch.
