Parish hall to decarbonise to cut running costs
Addendum PRA Jersey parish has signed a deal to decarbonise its hall to help cut operating costs.
Jersey Electricity (JE) said it had signed the agreement with the Parish of St Clement, which will change the building's heating system to an air source heat pump.
The utility said it would fund solar panels on the roof and install public electric vehicle charging points in the public car park.
Constable Marcus Troy said the plan would "deliver maximum value for our parishioners" and help cut running costs.
JE chief executive Chris Ambler said: "It has been great to work with St Clement Parish which is so committed to sustainability and is taking real action."
The firm said work was expected to be completed in the autumn.
