A storage container full of angling equipment worth about £2,000 has been destroyed following a fire.

Northamptonshire Police said it was called to Wharf Hall, Higham Ferrers, to investigate the fire of fishing items owned by two not-for-profit organisations.

It asked for anyone who saw anything suspicious between 00:30 and 01:20 BST on Monday 13 October, to get in touch.

The force said the equipment was used to support local young people and people who are struggling with their mental health.
