Man who died after being hit by HGV on A15 named

The name of a pedestrian who died after being hit by a HGV on the A15 in North Lincolnshire has been released by his family, police said.

Andrew Bontoft, 56, was hit by a lorry travelling on the northbound carriageway close to the Horkstow Road overhead at about 09:50 GMT on Monday.

Humberside Police said emergency services attended but Andrew sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The force has asked anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
