Man seriously injured in early morning assault in Inverness

A man has been seriously injured in an assault at a house in Inverness.

Police Scotland said the attack happened between 02:00 and 04:00 on Tuesday in Golf View Road.

The force said the person or people who carried out the assault fled the scene.

Police have appealed for witnesses to get in touch.

Police Scotland said: "Our inquiries are ongoing into this incident and we are appealing to anyone that may have seen or heard anything suspicious or who have any information to get in touch.

"We are also asking anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage between the time frames of the incident to contact us should they find anything which may assist us."
