Hundreds of Santas set to gather in Manx capital
PLAN.COMHundreds of Santas are set to return to Douglas next month - all in the name of charity.
Both annual spectacles bring a splash of colour to the streets of the Manx capital while raising thousands of pounds for local good causes.
Whether you're planning to take part or just gather to watch the fun, here is everything you need to know.
PLAN.COMSantas on a Bike
The Santas on a Bike motorcycle rideout – returning after a forced a hiatus last year due to gale force winds brought by Storm Darragh – will set off from Douglas on Saturday 6 December.
Organised by plan.com, the event raises money for the island's children's hospice, with the route heading to the south of the island before weaving its way back to Rebecca House in Braddan.
The rideout, which sees both riders and machines decked out in a Christmas theme, will start from Victoria Street at 10:00 GMT.

Santa Dash
The annual Santa Dash takes place on Wednesday 17 December.
The race sees runners negotiate a course through the streets of Douglas wearing not only Father Christmas outfits, but also dressed as elves, reindeer and even the occasional Christmas turkey.
The race, organised by the Isle of Man Bank, will set off from Prospect Hill at 12:30 GMT.
Race winners, as well as those deemed the best dressed on the day, receive prizes in the form of a donation to a chosen local charity.
People who want to take part have been asked to register online.
