Charity for vulnerable adults closes after 18 years
Getty ImagesA charity that supports vulnerable adults with employment skills training and education has closed after 18 years.
The Oasis Partnership operated from locations in Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Chesham in Buckinghamshire.
In a post on social media, the trustees said they had decided to close the charity and "cease operations shortly".
Their statement read: "Our priority during this period is the welfare of the people who matter most — our staff, volunteers, clients, and the wider community we have served."
Oasis Partnership provided vulnerable people, including those with addiction and homelessness, with skills training and workshops.
This included digital skills courses, guides to building confidences and cooking groups.
In recent years, the Aylesbury venue opened a basement studio that can be used by bands for rehearsals, as well as hosting open-mic nights and live music.
The charity said its Aylesbury site would be taken over by a new organisation that would continue to support some of the community activities already hosted at the venue.
It added: "We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported our work — including staff, volunteers, funders, partners, and the individuals and families who placed their trust in us."
The charity has been contacted for more information.
