Voters are set to go to the polls on Wednesday to fill two positions to serve as conseillers in Chief Pleas.

Voting in the by-election on Sark would be held in the Toplis Room at the Island Hall from 10:00 GMT until 18:00 on Wednesday.

Paul Armorgie, the speaker of Chief Pleas, said this was a positive development for Sark.

"It shows the health and vibrancy of our small island democracy. I thank the candidates for putting themselves forward to serve and represent their community," he said.

Nominations for candidates closed at midday on 13 February and followed the resignation of two conseillers.

The four candidates are Antony Dunks, Michael Lanyon, Sebastien Moerman and Joseph Perrēe.
