A trial date has been set for two women charged in connection with a pro-Palestinian protest that saw "body bags" left outside the home of Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy.

Cristy North and Susan Houseman are accused of placing the bags in front of the then-foreign secretary's house in Haringey, north London, on 8 April last year.

North, 38, of Castle Marina Road, Nottingham, and Houseman, 55, of Hornby Road in Caton, Lancashire, previously pleaded not guilty to harassing Lammy.

They also denied displaying a threatening or abusive sign or writing likely to cause harassment, alarm and distress, according to court documents.

Neither North nor Houseman appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court for a short case management hearing on Thursday.

The court heard a two-day trial will take place at the same court on 26 and 27 May.

They have both been bailed.
