A 36-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man, aged 31, was found dead.

Police went to a property in Oak Apple Close, Stourpourt, on Monday, at about 09:50 BST and found the man unresponsive. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Det Ch Insp Lee Holehouse, from West Mercia Police, said a murder investigation was under way, adding: "Understandably, an incident of this nature will cause concern amongst residents."

He said he wanted to reassure people that police believed there was no wider risk to the public.
