Officers are appealing for information after several birds of prey were found dead.

Nottinghamshire Police said it was alerted by a member of the public to the birds being discovered in "suspicious and unnatural circumstances" near the village of Bunny on 10 December.

The force has urged anyone who has seen any suspicious animal carcasses to come forward.

It warned people and dog owners not to allow their pets or animals to touch the birds as they may be poisoned.

Officers also advised that if anyone finds illegal snares, traps or evidence of disturbance to badger setts or birds nests to report it to them.
