Parish sets up Liberation Day competition
BBCResidents in one Jersey parish are being invited to decorate their homes in patriotic colours to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day.
The competition, which runs from 1 April to 10 May, aims to see the properties in St John "bursting with colour and community pride", Constable Andy Jehan said.
Organisers said the best dressed property would win a £50 voucher for St John's Inn.
Jehan said: "This competition is a fantastic way to bring people together and celebrate our island's history."
Residents can submit a photo of their display via email to [email protected], organisers said.
They said judging would take place soon after Liberation Day on 9 May.
