Fire breaks out at scrap metal yard

Fire crews were called to Ford Industrial Estate near Yapton

Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a scrap metal yard in West Sussex.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said five crews were sent to Ford Industrial Estate near Yapton at about 17:30 BST on Saturday.

The blaze was extinguished by about 19:45 BST and there were no reports of injuries, the fire service confirmed.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause, it added.
