Persimmon Homes has submitted detailed proposals for 388 homes

Plans for almost 400 new homes in Barton-upon-Humber have moved a step closer.

Persimmon Homes has submitted detailed proposals to North Lincolnshire Council for 388 homes on Horkstow Road, between the A15 and Brigg Road.

Outline planning permission was granted for the development in June 2023 following a successful planning appeal.

The proposals, which are yet to be validated, include a mix of one to four‑bedroom homes, including 20 bungalows, as well as affordable housing.

Concerns were previously raised about increased pressure on local services, particularly GP provision, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

However, the house builder has proposed what is known as a Section 106 agreement to support local infrastructure and services, including education, transport and leisure.

Graham Whiteford, the firm's planning director for Yorkshire, said: "We are delighted to bring forward these detailed plans for new, high quality and energy efficient homes in Barton‑upon‑Humber.

"We look forward to working closely with North Lincolnshire Council, local stakeholders and the community as we progress this development."
