Islanders invited to help create skate park mural

People are being invited to "express themselves" through painting at a street art display.

The Street Art Showcase, organised by Jersey Eisteddfod, takes pace at the skate park at Quennevais Sports Centre between 10:00 and 16:00 GMT.

Jersey Eisteddfod said the event offered an inclusive space where "young people, families and artists can learn, paint and express themselves".

With trainers and youth workers on hand, organisers said participants would get to contribute to a new mural that aims to instill pride in the area.

The event has been supported by government funding and Normans Jersey.

Martina McGibney, managing director of the firm, said: "We're thrilled to support an event that encourages creativity, confidence, and community spirit."
