A new golf academy is being built as part of a resort's redevelopment plans.

The multimillion-pound redevelopment at La Grande Mare began in April, with plans to build 10 driving bays and two tuition studios for the academy.

A spokesperson for the resort said the golf course and driving range would be closed in January 2024 to allow for preparatory work to be undertaken.

The resort said it was on schedule to finish all work by 2025.

"The closure of the course, which is slightly earlier than expected, will allow additional but essential work to be completed before MJ Abbott starts work on transforming the other half of the course," the spokesperson said.
