BBCA date has been set for a vote of no confidence in Guernsey's Policy and Resources Committee (P&R).
Members were asked to resign by Deputy Charles Parkinson and six other deputies last week after their plans for tax reform were rejected.
The five members of P&R have previously said they intend to continue in their posts.
The debate and vote has been set for 22 November.
Deputy Peter Ferbrache, President of P&R, had suggested the best way forward was to call an early general election.
The motion of no confidence would need a majority of votes from deputies to be approved.
