"It doesn't smell as bad as I thought it would," says BBC Radio Oxford's Sophie Law as she went for a behind-the-scenes tour at the Oxford Sewage Treatment Works.

The site is undergoing a multi-million pound upgrade to increase capacity by 33% by 2040.

Earlier this month it was revealed that nearly 2,000 homes in west Oxfordshire were facing delays because of outstanding improvements to sewage works.

Thames Water said it was spending about £9.5bn on the biggest sewage network upgrade for 150 years.
