Redcar house death victim was 'much-loved' mother

The family of a woman who was found dead on New Year's Eve have described her as a "much-loved mother of six, a treasured daughter and sister".

The body of Stacey Murray, 34, formerly known as Stacey Cooper, was discovered by emergency services called to an address in Malham Gill, Redcar, Teesside.

Liam Murray, 27, has been charged with her murder.

Her family said their loss was "unimaginable".

In a statement they said: "There are no words to express our sadness. Stacey was a wonderful mother."

Mr Murray, of Whitby Avenue, Guisborough, who is also charged with possession of a knife, was remanded in custody by magistrates to appear before Teesside Crown Court on Friday.
