Woman charged with Hinckley newborn baby murder

A woman has appeared before magistrates charged with murder following the discovery of a newborn baby's body.

Police said the body of the child, who was born at 32 weeks, was found in Hinckley on 30 April last year.

Hannah Cobley, 28, of Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire, appeared before Leicester Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

She was remanded into custody and will appear before Leicester Crown Court on Friday.
