Fabian Kacica died as a result of a stab wound to the heart

A man found injured in an Essex seaside town died from a single stab wound to the heart, an inquest has heard.

Fabian Kacica, 19, of Lornes Close, Southend, died after a "disturbance" near the town's library on Monday.

The inquest was opened at Chelmsford Coroners' Court and heard Mr Kacica was found in his car near The Forum at about 21:00 BST.

A date for a full inquest hearing will be set later as a murder investigation is under way.

Joe Paffey, 20, unemployed, of Old Southend Road, Southend, arrested on Wednesday, has now been charged with murder and attempted robbery and is due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court later.

Two teenagers have also been charged with murder and attempted robbery.

Michael Nyathi, 18, of Steeplefield, Leigh-on-Sea, and a 17-year-old boy from Shoeburyness, who is too young to be named, were remanded in custody at Chelmsford Crown Court.

Essex Police said it was holding a public meeting at The Forum on Saturday at midday, as a result of the killing.

Representatives of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, other community figures and senior officers from Essex Police are due to attend.
