Permission is being sought for a water park at a beauty spot in west Wales.

The proposals include a wakeboarding park with an overhead cable system, an inflatable squa park, open water swimming and a lakeside sauna.

Developers say the attraction, at Brays Pool Llywernog next to nature reserve Bwlch Nant yr Arian, in Ceredigion, would create up to 15 jobs and benefit the economy.

They say the park, near Aberystwyth, would complement nearby attractions such as mountain biking trails.

The park will be set on a 20-acre site, including a 10-acre lake.

Plans also feature camping and glamping accommodation, a cafe and a sports retail shop.

The scheme is currently subject to pre-application consultation, with residents invited to give feedback.
