The crash happened in Shipley on Thursday evening, police say

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Bradford.

West Yorkshire Police said the man, aged in his 30s, was struck by a car in Briggate, Shipley, at about 17:45 GMT on Thursday.

The force said the driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or may have relevant dashcam footage is asked to contact police.
