Boy, 17, charged with terror offences

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with terrorism offences and possession of explosive substances.

The boy, from Stafford, was charged with two counts of accessing information via the internet likely to be useful to someone committing or preparing an act of terrorism, as well as possession of explosive substances.

He was remanded in custody, according to Staffordshire Police.

They added he was due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
