Man charged with causing deaths of teens in crash

A man has been charged with causing the deaths of two teenagers in a car crash on Leeds Outer Ring Road more than two years ago.

Polite Moyo, 18, and Mayar Eldessouky, 19, were passengers in a white Audi A3 when it hit a telegraph pole near the Parkside Road junction in Meanwood on 29 September 2023. A third passenger, who was 18 at the time, was left critically injured.

Marcio Domingos, 24, of South Farm Road, Leeds, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

West Yorkshire Police said Domingos was due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on 13 February.
