Two new community minibus services launched
Hull City CouncilTwo new community minibus services have been launched in east Hull.
The Marfleet Community Minibus Service takes people to shops and medical appointments, while a medibus service drives patients to Castle Hill Hospital.
East Hull Community Transport (EHCT) has been appointed to run both services as pilots until the end of March 2025.
Rob Foster, CEO at EHCT, said the medibus will "provide an essential passenger transport service".
The Marfleet service runs on a scheduled timetable and is operating twice-a day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The medibus is operating Monday to Friday, between 07:00 and 17:00 GMT and needs to be pre-booked by contacting EHCT.
Fares for both services start from £2.50.
The city council said that the buses would only continue to run beyond next year if there was demand for the services, which would allow further funding from the government's Bus Service Improvement Plan.
