Man arrested after Boxing Day assault

A man has been arrested after another man was injured in an assault on Boxing Day.

Sussex Police said officers were called to a private address in Lennox Road, Chichester, at 07:39 GMT on Friday after a man reported being assaulted.

The victim, 44, was taken to hospital with a neck wound and has since been discharged, said the force.

A 48-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remains in police custody.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: "The incident was contained to a private address and our enquiries to establish the exact circumstances are ongoing at this time."
