Attempted murder arrests after man stabbed

Two arrests have been made in connection with a reported stabbing in Dorset.

Police received a report at 22:00 GMT on Monday a man in his 40s had sustained stab wounds in Dennistoun Avenue, Christchurch. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

A cordon was put in place to allow for detailed inquiries to be carried out at the scene.

Officers have arrested a 33-year-old man from Christchurch and a 35-year-old woman from Poole on suspicion of attempted murder. They remain in custody.

Dorset Police has appealed for anyone who was in the area of Dennistoun Avenue near to Domino's Pizza in Somerford Road and saw or heard anything suspicious.
